Let me know what you think of one of my latest scenes. This was done in 3ds MAX and rendered with final render stage1 beta. The textures are mine from one of my texture collection cds.
thanks!

This would be a great map for a game with cops and and bad guys. Great design.

But it seems to be too blury. Like the textures are made for games.

It looks blurry, don't know if that's from DOF or because the textures themselves are.

Great feeling on the whole picture, I really like theese kinda images, old warehouses, buildings, military stuff, deserts... mekes me think of Fallout... :) But don't worry, this warehouse is not exactly like that, the windows are still intact, and the walls aren't rusty eneugh.. :D

Some glow effect would be nice, the barrels in the front are too overlit, and cause of that some nasty artifacts appear, the DOF blurs it a bit, but a nice glow would hide those artifacts.
Just to comment something, maybe the place under the stair is a bit empty, some crates preheaps... And the object above the gate seems to have only a white standard shader on it.

Great work!

i like the overall smoothness of the pic, it doesnt look much like a render anymore - which is good imo
i agree that the barrels are overlit
( and maybe a bumpmap would do well on the left walls or containers )

I agree with them. Also I can see the repeat in the texture used for the support beams, So try randomizing them alittle.

ok the textures are to blurry and too small scaled but the scene itself rocks!
very nice lighting, esp. the foggy atmo gives a real impression.
though the barrels are overlit imo.

thanks for the replies! yeah I think the DOF and the multiple passes kind of blurred the image a little too much. the textures are actually very highres, so I doubt it was them. I am making a concrete texture cd next, so I guess its time to do another huge building :) unless you guys have any ideas on a scene that would have many different types of concrete in it.

thanks for the feedback, these are things I should definatly think about next time I make a scene.

wonderful image dude!

2 things bother me.. first, it looks a bot blurry.. and second, i think the floor texture, or parameter are'nt right.. the ground looks.. strange

Textures are very nice, but the metal texture on the left seems to have some kind of artifacts in it...

My only major gripe is the direct lighting on the bottonm left and crates in the centre is way way way too high and distracts from the rest of the picture
