My inspiration is coming from the following movies- The Gate, Ghoulies, and some of The Army of Darkness style humor. I working on concept art and storyboards at the moment and I hope to have all that done by the end of this weekend. I plan on doing some filming in the next week or so once I can coordinate some schedules.
This is my first ever contest so I am looking forward to this first time experience. Should be fun!
Here are two reference samples from "The Gate" and "Ghoulies".

I worked a little on character concepts that will be used for the demons. I haven't really decided yet on the one that will get the nod.

Some more concepts.

Here is a more in depth character concept. I think I might go with this.

I was able to line of most of my actors and should start shooting in the next week or so. I think I will create a more loose storyboard and allow a little more improv while shooting.

Here is the mesh of the little demon character I'm working on. This is my first character I have ever done. I am filming this Friday so it should be a good time.

Here is the little demon character that will be in the live action footage. I'm pretty much done rigging him now and I just have to finish the envelopes. I also have all the video recorded now, so I can start to track it and start with some of the comps.
Just a note - There are going to be a ton of these little demons in the footage so it should be pretty fun.

That character is looking really cool!

Cire - Thanks! Sorry for the late reply.

This is still a work in progress and I have many other shots to do as well.
I used XSI, Boujou for tracking, and Nuke for the comp.

I have been working as hard as I can to see if I can get this done by the deadline. It will be pretty close I think. I am currently working on comping everything together, doing some VFX post work, titling, and hopefully some Sound FX.
This is one shot of many that will be in the trailer. I worked with XSI, Nuke, and Photoshop.
Thanks for looking!

Staszek - Thanks man! I will need to do a lot of fixing and adjusting after this contest. This was my first contest and I don't think I managed my time that well, but it certainly was a great learning experience. Your work by the way is top notch. Very inspiring.

I also wanted to thank CG Society for this opportunity. There were a lot of inspirational projects on here that I watched closely and have taught me quite a bit. I definitely look forward to the next contest. Thanks all!
