The first thing that really jumps out at me...
Her shoes will fall off. I think they are too big for the model, but they are certainly too large for her ankles.

I think she needs some eyebrows :D

Thanks for your comments, I wanted her to have big shoes, but I can see that they wouldn't stay on so I thickened up the shoes around the ankles.
I tried to give her eyebrows, but I'm not very good at UV maps, they aren't turning out very well for some reason. Can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

she looks a bit nervous in the service.. the eyebrows need some work :p Sadly I don't uv or texture so can't help yea... other than that its pretty cool.... well actually, her cheeks look like that of a chipmunks full of nuts.. maybe make them smaller and make the face a little less tall

First the shoes are too big. you can see the huge gap. I'd cover that by giving her baggy pants or scale down the shoes. second, the face lacks life. I don't really see anything else really wrong. Hope this helps!

thanks for all your replies, I have made the shoes smaller and my boyfriend (fasty) helped me with the eyebrows by using texture guide. I haven't had much time to work on it much more but I still have to fix the face a lot, please let me know what else I can do!http://www.stu-art.net.au/temp/smaller-shoes.jpg

Hy Bonstar. Iīve just saw your thread. At my point of view, you shoudnīt change the characterīs shoes. Thatīs defined in the character design, see Bay Raitt article. (http://www.metagons.com/dsarticle05.htm) You should be worry about more important issues, like the edgs loop of you characterīs face. Even in cartoon style thatīs relevant, see Reivīs strange little girl. (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=82352&highlight=strange+little+girl)
Thatīs just my opnion, I hope itīs usefull for you.

wow thanks orozimbo, that article on character modelling was really interesting and informative, I have made a few bad morph maps on the face already but I need to fix them up.

ok I'm trying to do something about the deadpan look on her face, I've tried to make a few morph maps, and they are sort of working. For some reason when I make her smile it looks fine, but when I take her to layout her teeth move into her mouth... has this sort of thing happened to anyone else, do you know how to fix it?http://www.stu-art.net.au/temp/wireframe.jpg http://www.stu-art.net.au/temp/bigsmile.jpg someone please help me!

Have you checked to see if her teeth have the head weight map applied to them? ;)
