i'm just a little curious about the background of these images.. for example, what chain of events puts the statue of liberty in the middle of the city ? :)
nice modeling. breaking stuff into pieces can be a challenge.
Nice pics but I think the lighting could need a bit more work in the first one. There almost seems to be a lack of shadows because they are so faint. I guess you wanted to get a very diffuse look but you still used sharp shadows. A better way is to use a skydome setup of many spotlights (or GI but which would be quite slow) or even use one very broad arealight.
It looks like the statue is the focus of the picture so you should try to attune the lighting to accentuate it. Right now the background is lighter and draws too much attention away. Maybe have a faint ray of light coming from above? Or darken the buildings in more shadow but have the statue a bit more lit up?
The closeup of the face is very nice though. Great contrast and depth in it.
damn, I think it's just nice. I like the chaotic look of it (because I'm all into that abstract wallpaper thing). I have to disagree with Wiro, I like the lighting the way it is.
