Hi!

I have some problem with stitching my 2 nurbs object together.

what have I done so far?

first I used "project curve on surface" and after that I have use "trim tool" to make the hole. but how to I get this to object together? "loft"? no I dont think I should use that tool if I want a nice solution. I know that I can work this out on another way. I have done it before but I dont remember anymore.

please help me

You might have gone about this in a rather difficult way. Are you planning on animating some deformations on this piping or something? if not, then stitching is unnesseary. But if you want to stich then you'll need the parametrization to line up. We can't tell if it will cause we can't see the isoparms on the connecting cyclinder.

ok blah blah blah, I think you just want a nice fillet blend at the conenction, am I right? If so, do this cause its simpler.

If you've already trimmed that pipe on the left, untrim it and get rid of the projected curve. then move the pipe on the right so that they just intersect eac other all the way. ok now do an intersect surfaces and make sure the 'both surfaces' option is checked. Ok once done, trim away the unseen parts of each cylinder. no use the 'round tool' and select the intersecting edge of the two cyclinders. Start with a really small radii and hit the enter button. Maya should create a nice fillet between the two pipes.
