SirManfred 08-26-2003, 05:59 PM Does anyone have any example on how a good human face specular map should look like? I never seem to get it right :hmm:

Julian J. has some examples. Not for the bandwidth-challenged though.

there's a mirror of the texturing tutorial over at www.3dtotal.com that is faster...
I've had some luck getting a base for the spec map by converting the color map to LAB and looking in the A or B channels... for some odd reason.

Hmmm. I can't find it. Is there a Search function somewhere on their site?

Its the first one in the Maya section. I think theres no search engine, at least ive never seen one.
