Hi!
Has anyone come up with a solution how to prevent duplicated shading networks or just texture nodes from happening. For example when you import another scene into the current one, Maya is unable to recognize if the shaders that are imported with the scene already exists. So it makes another shader even though absolutely identical shader already exists in our current scene. Is there any way you can make maya to use the CURRENT shader if it discovers identical shading network in the imported file?
Is there a script out there that sort of cleans up your Hypershade?
(that is able to look for all duplicated nodes, attach all connection to just one node and delete the others).
Thanks
ALES
