hey!!:wavey:

i have a texture applied to my low poly character.
it looks nice and crisp in photoshop (2056x2056 Tiff)
when i view it in the viewports of maya the texture looks all blurred and crappy.

i have turned off the filters in the hypershade but it's still blurry and crappy.

without the filters it looks really pixellated too. whereas it isnt in photoshop.

any ideas as to how i can get the texture to look better in the viewports. (i need screen grabs of open gl views for uni)

cheers!!

does it look good in a render?
that's usually all that matters.

otherwise get a better video card.

On File Attribut, just set the Filter Type to "off" rather than "MipMap" :)

select the shader witch contains the texture. Then open the attribute editor and go down to the section that is called HARDWARE TEXTURING. Hre you have to choose COLOR for texture channel and for texture resolution you can choose the resolution you want.
