View Full Version : Horrible distortion while weight painting with maya muscle

Yet another problem I'm having with this bug-filled system...

When I paint the mesh distorts HORRIBLY, the first muscles i setup were fine, but now I can't add anymore because of this bug.

How do I fix it please. Yet another night's worth lost, or even a week, coz thats how long it takes to get a response here ><

And yes, it IS within the bind range, I've even tried setting it to all points.

Some points that are okay when I paint distort badly when I animate into a different position.

well i'm sorry that my information suck but i saw the muscle digital tutors dvd so time along i remember about a yellow area around the muscle that if u paint out of that ur mesh will distort u have to increase that "balloon" size .


the yellow is referred for "sticky bind distance"

I mentioned in the original post that it wasn't the issue. Selecting 'all points' nullifies that, besides the fact that the weights I'm painting ARE within the auto calculated sticky bind distance.

Edit: Ok in a way it is that, but it's a massive bug, it thinks that it's outside the sticky bind pose radius even with all points selected, when it's clearly not. Damn it autodesk..
