View Full Version : Non zero rotations on a joint with zero rotations (maya)
JaredTaylor 01-12-2010, 09:08 PM This is frustrating, I'm trying to orient a joint and it keeps skipping the foot joint because it has non zero rotations, but when i look at the joint's attribute box, the rotations are zero.
How do I fix this?

Reset-->Freeze-->Orient usually does the trick!

This usually happens when there is a very small value in the rotation channel. The channel box only shows 3 decimal places, so if there is a value on the fourth spot, the channel box won't show it, but Maya will complain about having 'non-zero' rotations. Just freeze them, or select the joints and type 'zero' into the channel box. Good luck....
