Camera Match software like Boujou, succesfully track features on 2d video and place feature objects on 3D scene. I feel this data may as well be used in modeling just like a 3d scanner, or even for motion capturing, with just an ordinary camera. (+may be a turning stand for scanning)
I feel I can do it simply by tracking the features on a human face and create surfaces manually from one feature object to the other in 3ds max.
Facial motion may as well be captured from a 2d video, then the created point objects may be used as bones to deform a 3d mesh.
Only problem seems you have to do several things manually.
Do you know any application that does such work with a single camera automatically?
