View Full Version : Transform node for objects gone?

I'm creating some pretty basic characters using poly modelling and maya 5 unlimited. The problem I am having is that I have lost my transform node for my objects in the channel box. I am fairly new to maya so it may be something simple like toggling it on or off that I may have done by accident.

For example I want to alter the number of subdivisions on my proxy smooth, but I cant get to the transform node to make the change. I also was unable to alter the number of subdivisions when I created my initial poly cube to begin with. Just wondering if there is an easy way to get my transform nodes back for objects and such. Oh also I did not delete history on any of the objects, but is there some setting that automatically deletes history of an object after you create it?

Thanks,
Bull

1 - turn shapes back on in the CBox,
2 - flip history back on, the scrolly on the status bar.

90% sure this is the fix, otherwise, let us know.

if u had history turned off when u created your smooth proxy then you may very well not be able to get your history back.

this also will hold true for anything created when history is turned off....you just wont get the additional nodes in the channel box.

Btw: your transform node i fine...it is the history nodes that are missing. Transform node holds all of the trans/rot/scale/vis info....albeit history connects to this node via Inputs and Outputs
