View Full Version : simcloth masters here please
pencil-head 08-26-2003, 01:01 AM i'm using cloth simulation for the first time in an animtion, and i'm going ok with it, Until my character makes a realy fast movement and the cloth intersects, and then explodes. how do i fix this?

If you look carefully, it would seem that the cloth collides with the mesh on his way down. Actually, what I'd suspect is the culprit here is too few samples per frame. The faster your mesh is moving through space, the more samples(steps) you are going to need. I'd try uping your adaptive subdivisions too.
Let me know if that helps. I've been using simcloth for a few years now, so I'm pretty comfortable with it.

i cranked the samples up to 40 and it seems to be working fine now. i knew it would be something simple that i was missing. theres to many things to tweek.:p
