View Full Version : Specific Planet Texture Tutorial Online -Can't Find It
Whylee 08-25-2003, 11:46 PM Howdy,
I'm looking for a specific PS based planet texture tutorial for 3D planets. I believe it took grey scale moon type maps and showed ways of colour correcting them to have oceans and land that worked really well.
Anyone seen this before?
Thanks

I've seen one, but I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to it.
It was something like:
1. Clouds/Difference Clouds to taste.
2. Add an Adjustment Layer > G-Map.
3. Tweak the colours in the G-Map. For example, snow capped mountains would be the highest, so one end of the G-Map is white. Then brown. Then green for forests. Then blue for the oceans.
It was a little more complicated than that, but that was the jyst of it.

Hehe sounds like my description. Trying to find it for a Jr at work who has to make a ton of maps, so trying to find the specific tutorial for him to make his (thus my) life easier.
If you rember it let me know, thanks.
