What component upgrades are most important for minimizing render times in Maya? (Processor/Drive/Graphics Card/Memory?)

Within budget, currently looking at following options:

Intel i7-950 (3Ghz) or upgrade to i7-975 (3.33Ghz)
7200rpm drive or upgrade to 10k rpm drive
1gb Geforce GT 220 or upgrade to 1.8gb Geforce GTX 260
12 GB ram or upgrade to 24 GB ram

Which of the 4 options should be priority, being that I can't afford all four upgrades?

Also any other hardware suggestions welcome...
Thanks

A faster processor with 4 cores and Hyperthreading, or a dual processor setup is the only thing that will have a significant effect on render times.

If you're on a budget get a 920 and a decent cooler and overclock to 3.8-4.2ghz.

Like vlad said, a processor upgrade is the way to go. Seeing that you already have quite a fast processor and dual processor setups are quite expensive, you might get the best bang for your buck by building a cheap render box (or two, if you have the cash).

For a render machine I'd recommend:
- Some cheap LGA1366 motherboard
- Core i7 920 and a silent cooler (if noise is an issue for you)
- The worst display card you can find. Maybe an integrated one on your motherboard?
- Some crappy old HDD with enough space for your OS, Maya and temporary files.
- Enough memory. I'd go for at least 6 Gb. Nothing is more annoying than doing a scene on your primary machine and noticing your render farm can't render it...
- Some cheap small case with a steady power supply. 400W should be more than enough.

Its for a TV production company, it will be used for Maya, AE etc so it needs to be more than just a render box. I've been running Maya okay with a lot less, which is why rendering speed is the major priority.

The specs I mentioned were options available in a HP e9280t. They basically want a buy-as-is machine, the HP seemed most cost effective without any tricks like overclocking etc...

Budget is about $2000-$2500.
