Somehow one or more faces have pulled apart or have been deleted leaving your mesh Open.
I'm guessing, at least thats what happens on mine. So you can try many ways of closing it back up. Mergs Edges, Verts......Too bad you cant poor water on it to see where the hole is like when you have a tire on your car leaking eh? (Sorry best example I could think of...lol)

Another thing to look at is the "Cleanup" command under the Polygons menu. It allows you to get rid of polygons that got screwed up through some procedure or another.

At the very least, make sure it checks for non-manifold geometry. Check the docs out for a full explanation. It tends to solve some of my problems. Another thing to do is to check the normals of the involved faces, making sure they're all pointing out. I'm not 100% sure if that does anything, but it might have helped me at one point. Couldn't hurt to see if it helps in your circumstance.

It works!! This case seems like the normals was the thing messing with me. Got them reversed and fixed. Thanks a lot.
