howdy everybody,
I'm working on a rig for my porfolio i finished the leg so like final step i made the Snap Ik fk well it fork perfectly
but i foun a little issue , i gave at both chains IK and Fk the possiblilti lo increase the lenght of the Femor and Shin it fork perfectly too the only problem is that the two attributes increse the lengh in a different "speed " between ik and fk so when i do the snap the IK will be almost 4 times longer :S

basically i m multipling the final translation of the bone with my custom attributes (both in the FK and IK

but really i can't figurate out why the IK increase more! i m quite sure that this issue happen when the IK is strechy

has somebody an idea of why this issue happen and how fix it?

i forgot to say the setup is the same of Animator friendly but i didn't find any difference between mine setup and his setup , thew only difference is that the strechy ik is made by set driven key not with utiliy nodes

you can see that there is the atrribute lenght in both well if i put both at the same value for example 2 the extension of the bones will be different like that

i'm not able to figurate why and how fix it! the attibutes act in the same way , just multiply the translate X

all right , i spent some time for work this problem , and for now there is no solution,
also the problem persist into the Animator friendly rig provided with the dvd of tutorial.

I find out that the problem is made by the strech of the ik , because when i multiply the value of TranslateX this value is already affected by the ik strech that allow at the value to increase to much and that it won t fit on Forward kinematichs chains .

A solution should be to reset the valueo of strech but how say to the chain when stop to count the valueo of strech and when count my custom value? i'm trying to think at some kind of script ....has somebody any idea?
