View Full Version : Edge is dragged off face

So I've made a simple plane, added some vertices, trying to manipulate them, simply by moving the point, the edges is dragged off the face.

Is this a bug in Modo? It's very replicable, happens every time, there's a certain distance I can drag the point, then the edge comes off the face. Or rather the face does not move with the vertex/edge.

This does not happen in Maya/Max.

I'm only draggin on one axis, but same thing happens in all viewports no matter if I drag on x, z or y axis.

I suppose u have it because you moved the point crossed with vertical edge.

When the vertex is moved across a certain connecting line it sometimes is not displayed and rendered correctly.

I have noticed this behavior also (purchased Modo some days ago) and find it a major annoyance that definitely needs to be adressed. When this error happens you have to support the vertex you are moving with an extra edge (see screenshot below). It does happen often, but not always. Why? No idea. Maybe someone can enlighten us.

Yes very irritating problem with n-gons. If you add an edge problem solved.
