Hello everybody,I'm a student compositor working on pre production for my demo reel. I'm open to suggestions and critiques on the current version of a styleframe. I've included the still I've used from the original film plate and the styleframe. The shot is a dolly back. I'm also looking for ideas on what to include in the background of the shot.

What do you want to exactly? You could put anything back there, maybe another building.

I was hoping for some critiques :) Trying to improve my work as much as possible, and with all the talent around here, it figured like the best place to go.

But yea, maybe a large structure of some kind in the back?

Draw out some perpective lines and see the lense distortion on the film plate. Other than that i really like the colorgrade and the falloff on the styleframe. :applause:

The building on he right, make sure to blend the top molding together. It appears a a little small. You might want to scale up the duplicated part you moved back up a little. and maybe use the skew or perspective tool to the free transform tool to make it match the perspective lines you have going on in the plate.

To me it doesn't seem like the sky matches the amount of atmospheric perspective you have added. Ether make the sky a little more clouded to make it overcast and foggy. But then you would have to adjust the direct sun light and shadows on the buildings. or I would maybe tone down the amount of atmosphere fading back.

You might have intended it to be like this but the buildings in the back on the right side of the street. They look good, but they look a little big, they seem like they are towering over the rest of the buildings. If this is the intent, cool. It just looks a little off to me. No big deal.

Does the shot tilt down or pan over to reveal something more of the street?
people walking or some other point of interest? If there is no one there you can always green screen some people in, it should be cool. Or you might have something already planed that doesn't show in this style frame.

Over all man, it looks good man. Good WIP

Looking good Ryan. I have to agree with Rob on those back, right buildings. They do look like they are towering over the scene but it is very slight. They amount of light coming down in the "god rays" seems too thick/heavy when added with the atmosphere, but again just very slight minor adjustments. I am excited to see where you take this. Keep up the good work.
