View Full Version : aux pivot point
cheerioboy 01-04-2010, 08:20 PM Is it possible to make an aux pivot for the whole body of a character? I want a character to appear to step onto a conveyor which then moves/rotates them to another point where they then exit off of.

You can use a muilti-reference constraint for this. (parent constraint with built in space switching and compensation.)
There is a tutorial in the help file on how to do this for a character getting out of an elevator and in to a car I believe.

Thanks Brad, I couldn't find the tutorial but I did a search for 'multi-reference' which gave me some promising results. Thanks for point me in the right direction! I'd also come up with a dirty method of just selecting the axis node, the one between the feet on the character controls, and just moving/rotating that.
