When I do my render previews now, it seems only the top viewport renders, no mater what other current viewport is the selected one. Perhaps I toggled something somewhere?

check the bottom of your render dialog, as there is a checkbox there which will lock rendering to one viewport, if that is checked you will probably get this sort of thing
