orgeeizm..
Hi..
I'm not sure if this will help, I found this while getting
all the info on running Maya on Linux as I'm about
to switch over...
I bought it for XP but I'm a unix/linux person so the
switch had to be done...
"When I tried launching Maya it terminated, unable to find its shared libraries. Hess quickly set it right, ``It's possible that the libraries are installed, but the necessary symlinks to let ldconfig find them are not installed.'' He suggested manually running ldconfig, which did the trick. Besides running ldconfig -v /usr/aw/maya4.0/lib, I also added that directory name to my /etc/ld.so.conf file."
As for dropping out of your course, why not try and
stick with it for a few more months and keep working
on your art.. Only good will come out of it I think...
Good luck..
