Hey,

I set the viewport shading mode to OpenGL for faster performance over software, but like clockwork after about 20-30 minutes of working in C4D it crashes with a memory exception error. The crashes are also random, it doesn't seem to matter what I am doing in C4D. I have since switched back to Software shading and have had no problems so far, but it is slow to work with in comparison to OpenGL. Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem? If so have you been able to find a solution?

I have a Wildcat 2 5110 with the latest driver, 1 GB of memory and dual Xeon 2GHz CPUs.

I had a similar problem with my mobile geforce 4200ti, the solution I found was related to running dual displays - disabling windowed opengl acceleration across both displays and confining it to one solved the problem, but I am not sure if the radeon drivers have this option.

I've not had any problems with Cinema and dual OGL, but it was a problem with one beta plugin (since resolved).

I suggest you submit this to Maxon as a bug report, as there probably comparatively few Cinema users running Wildcats.

Yeah, I sent it off to Maxon. I guess I will test things out without dual monitors on, maybe that will help things.

Thanks for the info guys.
