View Full Version : How do I preview a reflection map in my viewport?
Marcel 08-24-2003, 08:34 PM I'm fiddling around with a realtime sword for in a game engine, this object has a normal color texture and a reflection map. How do I preview the reflection map in my viewport together with the color texture? The reflection map should be blended additive on the normal color texture....

For cubic or ball reflections, choose in your shader, Hardware Texturing>ReflectedColour or >combined Textures.

Thanks for your answer. The problem is that I can only look at the color or reflection map that way, not the result of them both.
I want the reflection map to be added to the color map and see the result interactively when I turn around the model.

To have the reflection move as you rotate the model etc you need to goto the attributes of the objects and under one of the tabs there is an "enviromental maps" toggle click that and your reflections will move.

My reflections were already moving perfectly, it's just that when I turn them on I don't see my color map anymore...
I want my reflection map to blend on my color map in an additive way. So I want to see my color map, and have the reflection added on top, I want to see the color map and the reflection map together at the same time....
Anybody? :hmm:
