You have to assign a different controller to the track, you can't just delete a controller. Assigning a new one will overwrite the noise controller.

If you need to be able to move the target and have it be influenced by a noise controller, then you will need to use a list controller. Put a noise controller in one track of the list controller, and a position XYZ controller in the other track, then make sure the position XYZ controller is the active one.

In the graph editor, click on where it says Position (one up from where it says Noise Strength).

Now click on the Controller menu above, and select Assign. From the list, choose Position List. This lets you asign multiple position controllers.

Then click on the node that says available. Go to the controllers menu again and asign a Position XYZ or Bezier position.

Next go to the motion panel (the tab next to Create, Modify, Hierarchy, etc. - the one with the wheel - in the top right!)

There should be a list of the two controllers assigned to your object. Click on the Position XYZ one, and then click the Set Active button. Here's a picture!

Hope this helps!
