10 mins on 1.7 mhz ? that's seems quite fast for brazil =)

seriously though, the texture on that couch looks really great, the models ain't really impressive though =)

but the result is really all that counts, and the stuff looks kinda nice

Cheers peeps, the new version of brazil (v0.4.52) really adds a speed boost, mainly due to the Secondary Rate option. Also, ive noticed the anti-alising seems a lot better. The couch texture is not as simple as it seems, i might write a tutorial at some point if some site is interested in hosting it :wavey:

Great models and textures, very nice work. Looks like real furniture excellent mats! The only crit I have is that the leading edge(front) of everything looks to be floating, the shadows look a little off. I have the same problem with some stufff I've rendered in the past, maybe work on your lighting a little.

hyperalistic image.

Do you have used a hdri image for ilumiation or you have used lights. The light is beatiful.

And another is the great leather texture of the bench.

Hi, thanks for the praise, I am not using any hdri, only skylight and one 'light card'.

I think hdri is great but it's really starting to bug me, you get people saying 'LOOK, ive hdri'ed this, aint it cool????', Just use your common sense and light a scene like you would in real life, a 'light card' here and a colored 'bounce card' there. This way, you dont get all the grain and immense rendering times asociated with hdri. Keep it simple folks :wip:

I said it becuase hdri imate a specific ilumination captured of the real life and your image is very good done and the lighting is similar than a photograpy study.

Good study of lighting.
