View Full Version : help with image planes
RavenMikhail 12-29-2009, 10:12 PM so i am using these images for my ref. i can not find a top view, the front and side do not line up very well when i start modeling. can anyone give me any advance on how to fix this, or a site that might have the top view? thank you

..the front and side do not line up very well...Why don't you align them in something like Photoshop or Gimp?

i did align them in photoshop. they look great in photoshop and in maya until you start modeling.

your references seem fine to me... except the mirror is a bit off.
may b your approach of modeling is not suitable for this model?

This is pretty obvious but i'll throw it out there anyway: make sure your image planes have the same aspect ratio as the ref pics from PS.

thanks everyone. i will check the aspect ratio. that did not occur to me. this is ony my 2nd car model
