I put up some rough demo footage from 'The Chronicles of Nerm' months ago, but I recently had to create something a bit more trailer'ish. It's hard to throw a trailer together only using 2 minutes of finished renders, all from the first 3 minutes of a 10 minute film, but here's some more shots from my solo-animated film.

Hopefully, this will also be (further) proof that I am still working on this project and it will be finished (soon!). This is a completely solo (aside from voice actors) project that I've been working on for the last 4 or so years.

Here's a nerdy plug: Come be a friend of 'The Chronicles of Nerm' on Facebook. I'll be using it as a bit of a blog to keep people up to date with the film. Also, feel free to friend me (Chris Wilson) and my live-action film 'James vs Reality.'

Thanks for the nice comments. I'm working on it as quickly as I can, but it has at least another year to go before it's completed. But out of a 4 or 5 year long project, a year doesn't seem that far away!

Yeah I think it worth :-)

Thanx for this great update!!

I love the style and everything looks to be at an extremely high level of quality. Are you going to be selling the short when its done? And if so, how much were you thinking?

I'll probably sell a dvd with some makings-of on it. That's still a ways out, so I don't have any sort of price planned, but I can't imagine I'd sell it for much!

Thanks for the comments everyone!

That year will fly by faster than you think! ;)

Very lovely, I can't help but notice though, that everyone in the trailer looks like they have Parkinson's. The characters all shake their heads left to right, a lot. But the renders are kickarse

Holy Crap, Shelly's in it? He was my script writing teacher. He's awesome

Well the character is talking in all of the shots where his head is moving. It'll make sense when you can hear the dialogue/audio, I promise.

And yes, Shelly's THE man.

Almost everything is done in-scene, but I do break up backgrounds and characters into different passes and composite those in After Effects.
