I've already graduated from college with a degree that has nothing to do with animation of any kind. For the past year I've been making Flash games and eventually moved on to learn (Mostly through online tutorials) zBrush and Maya, which I really enjoy. Eventually I want to get in the industry, but I really know nothing about it.

I've already looked at some topics in this forum and found that the general consensus is that a degree is helpful, so I'm considering going back to school, but I'm not sure what would be the best options for me. So my question is this: Does anyone have a recommendation for a school in or near the New York City area that would fit my type? I've already been through 4 years of college and have moderate knowledge of 3D animation already, so I'm not interested really interested in a long program if it can be helped. Should I just take an online course? Will that do anything?

I'm not trying to sound picky or like I'm trying to duck out of doing my own research. I really just don't have any idea what I should be looking for.

If you want a school in NYC or the NYC area.
Check out the School of Visual Arts.

But if your willing to go into a fast paced program.
Maybe Gnomon or VFS are for you.

There's also NYU's SCPS program.
