Personal learning edition 4.5 @ Alias ?

i couldn't find it either. all links lead to the unavailable maya. Alias can be VERY annoying at times.

Thanks! All we have here at work is an iMac... I wouldnt touch it with a 40-foot pole...(its orange and looks like an alien fishtank. The mouse is circular and have ONE button, it´s a nightmare LOL!!) ...I wouldnt mind a G5 with a proper digitizer though :drool:

Thanks for the link anyway. I wrote Alias a little mail about the problem. I can´t believe they took it away! Its going to be interesting to hear what they have to say about this.

Hmm, There's a copy of Maya PLE that comes with UT2003, but afaik it required some type of unlock code from the old Alias Wavefront site for it to work (which would probably be no longer available...), but it might be worth a shot anyway :)

The same thing happened with Maya PLE v4.5 when it was released. They first anounce it on the site but remove them for download (to promote the Sales on the 'PLE cd bundle', a few weeks later they re-enable the download. its just a marketing strategy.

yep, they actually want you to buy the maya ple cd for like $20 or however much it cost. if you want it free i think you still have to wait another month or so before they actually put it up on their site. i'm disappointed in the fact that their store isn't there anymore! i wanted to buy a maya pen or cocktail set! those things looked so cool! now they're gone though :(
