CGTalk - 2D scene

This is my first attempt to painting with photoshop !! I usualy use Lightwave but this time....

P.S. This is the result of a painting lesson that I saw in TV: "The Joy of Painting", I tryed to simulate this technique in photoshop.

there's is something very moody in this image...something i like :)
have u got any bigger image?

i think if that's snow....the lake looks too clear of ice....

It is a nice job, but something is puzzling me.. 2 things actually.. No ice on the water? and maybe tryf ooling around with the color scheme?

I think you captured the effect of the program you watched very well. As a picture itself though, it lacks a lot of things that planning before painting would fix. :)

If you could draw some pictures of the scene first on paper and figure out a good color scheme and mess with adding more into it, I think this picture would be top notch.
