This is something I finished recently... made with Lightwave 7.5. I've been learning Lightwave for a few months now.

Comments and suggestions are welcome but I think for the most part I am done with this.

Later when I am more able to model characters I might make a dweller for this mushroom :)

Thanks

I apologize, that I don't have a direct image here... but I do not have a server that will allow direct linking that is free. If someone could direct me to one of those as well, that would be sweet. Thanks

www.freewebz.com - 100mbs free, no ads, one file uploader.

as for your project, good job. Are you just getting into 3d modeling or what? Oh and the mushroom top looks kind of small to be liveable in. Like it looks like whoever lives there just has a small cube to live in. Thats what I am thinking. Other than that good job. What method did you use...a revolve curve tool? I'm interested.

He'd be a mighty small creature :)

btw krisc: freewebs doesn't allow direct linking either for free.

looks good
u can direct link from anywhere that lets u change the filename after u upload a pic. just change it to a .txt file and put it in the img tags like a regular pic on here

It has nice ambience.. good job.. I'm too sure I like the look of the moon.. the texture looks like a noise function than lunar mountains.

Lycos.com has remote and direct linking.

BTW, awesome stuff. Can you post a wire?

Tada! Thanks guys for the tips! (Lycos + renaming from .jpg to .txt.)

Here's a wireframe of the mushroom.

Thanks for the feedback!
:)

(btw make sure to recheck first post for a 1024x768 res pic. i also have a 1280x1024 pic if anyone wishes to see that.)

It takes approximately 40-45 minutes to render at 1024x768 if I remember correctly. Near an hour for 1280x1024.
