Alrighty! I have been revising this bloke for quite some time. I have been trying to make him more anatomically correct and now im currently in the process of making his body texture.
Since i haven't done much texturing, i'd like to get comments on such things. Overall comments are also welcome of course ;)

Hey manny, thats looking real nice man,

The only part I feel I can crit is possibly the eyes being a bit large... not to big tho, just kinda gives him a sylistic look as opposed to realism (which might be what you wanted, in that case disregard me)

Also you may want to tone down the red of his skin, You can do that in post tho and it should be great man.

Nice work as usual.

Thanks guys! :)
Mob: I will look into the eye thing.
Here is a better body-skin color. At least i think that. Now i need to change the head skin so it has the same colours :P

looks really good but check him for ring wrom ;)

kidding, but check the enck/body merging it has a weird white stripe..and a few splotchies on his skin.

Might be nice to add a mole or something to his body. to break symetry

Not quite anatomically correct is it... We see naked women on the forum all the time, as long as there's a nudity warning I think you should go the whole hog, because as it stands it just makes the model look bizarre and draws the eye to it.

The texture for the body is very good and the model as a whole is well put together. The hands look slightly feminine, but maybe that's just the pose they are in.

Looking forward to see if you have the um.. well, whatever he hasn't got to finish him ;)

what programme is this? The wireframe sure is strange - you have quads but whatever prog you are using facets it so they're triangles? YOu can sort of see the triangles by looking at the white areas of the wireframe.

(Very good human model, by the way). You want to provide us with a closeup on his hands? His thumb looks a bit funny

Thanks people. I've said it before and im saying it again. I won't give him a penis :P
It wont be visible anyways, since im going to give him some kind of clothing.

Good work Sir Manfred!!!
There's a couple of mapping seams to be smoothed out though... I'd use texture baking for that if I was you! It will save you a lot of time!

Frederik, with texture baking you can put procedural materials onto your texture.
What you'd do is cover your entire model by a procedural skin texture. Surely it will not look that great when used all-over, but you'll only use it for hiding the seams.
So you bake this procedural map onto your textures, and blend it in with the existing textures at every seam. This way the transitions will be seamless.

I used this technique on the model in my signature. Here is the way the textures look (two texture sets are combined here, and it's shown at half-resolution only):
http://skyraider.allaboutwarfare.com/files/modelling/trieb_texture_half_rez.jpg

As you can see the model has a number of seams, yet with texture-baking the camouflage pattern, I avoided seams. I basically unwrapped the model in a planar fashion (to avoid stretching), then texture baked a cylindrical camouflage texture onto it.

Hope this explanation was understandable :D

Hmm... where did the seam go? :-o Oh my! It disappeared! :P
Thanks Skyraider, very useful :)
