I'm having a weird issue with a mesh i've imported into Mud. It was a .ztl that i've exported from ZB as an .obj, imported to Max, scaled it to the size of the Mudbasehead, reset x-forms and exported as .fbx(latest builds for Max/Mud) when i import to Mud the viewport is chugging along at level 0. when i subD to level 1 the viewport goes back to normal but if i subD up to about 50K all the brushes/navigation,etc slow to a crawl again.
The weirdest thing of all is that the imported file has a headmesh,teeth/gums and eyes. all separate meshes in Mud. So i tried exporting each component as a separate file and importing one at a time to Mud.Everything is fine except the headmesh. Once i import that Mud crawls. All meshes are 100% quads, reset X-forms,no overlapping faces,no flipped faces, all normals are unified, no double faces or rogue verts of any kind............
I've even exported the head on it's own from Max and imported it straight back to Max and then re-exported for Mud...........no luck.(both .fbx and .obj)
I'm pretty stumped as this seems completely illogical. Why would 3 out of 4 meshes be fine and just the headmesh make Mud behave like this?
cheers.
