GT285 - @giga RAM card freezing 3ds max?

Hello

I have recently installed a new GT285 nVidia card with 2 Gigs of RAM and since than I have experienced freezing of 3ds MAX (and the system) but this freeze is like a very slow refresh - basically the system is live but impossible to work with.

Has anybody had similar experience - and if so - what is a recommended tip (other than trashing the card...)?

Update your drivers.

Although, don't consider the latest ones the safest option. You might have to experiment with a couple of older versions till your viewports and your system work alright.
