View Full Version : Animating a curtain being pulled aside?

I am working on a job where I have to simulate a curtain being pulled aside by a string in the middle. How does this work? I can't find appropriate tutorials that would solve my problem. I am working with XSI!

Syflex generally works well for me, concerning general cloth simulation and forces etc, but I just can't get this pulling aside to work. At all!

Does anyone of you have tips?

i've been devouring a lot of tutorials the last 2 years - including the proverbial "curtain tutorial".

it's part of their "intro to Max" series, the "talented ball" theme. they have 3 or 4 video tutorials dedicated specifically to getting the curtains right.

admittedly not XSI, but it might be helpful.
