how i can illuminate object ...let's say a lamp without self illumination in mental ray and contains light volume and caustics and drop a shadow and have raytrace and try to be like in the pic http://digital-emotions.deviantart.com/art/THE-Lamp-9196508

tb be realistic in the scene and have the real prop of light

really need help in this

Honestly you can kill yourself trying to do it physically accurate and have it take 19 light years to render. You can achieve all of the shading in the bulb in post. All you need is a few passes like a regular beauty, reflection, Fresnel, ao, and most importantly mattes. Once you have those you can take it into after effects or photoshop and begin to build each detail piece by piece.
