Hey guys, I just wanted to share a little animation with you that we did over the past ten days. We were getting inspired by some assets we created for the holiday time and thought we could also do a small greetings card animation.

The idea: It's two days before Christmas and Rudolph calls in sick. Now Santa has a problem! How can he get his sleigh up and running without the reindeer power? Time to get creative...

It's a fun project even it was quite some work because of the limited time. Funny, though we were working so many hours on something so christmas related we almost missed to get prepared for the holidays. But there are still some days left, right?

Have fun and Merry Christmas to you all! :-)

Of course every single pixel is rendered with the beauty of RfM!

Cheers, Ingo

some more info from the other half of brave rabbit:

We had the Santa Character already finished and wanted to test the rig with some animation. So we decided to do a little animation as a christmas greetings card equal. It took us 10 days from idea to finish, parallel to some other regular jobs.

Modeling and Animation done in Maya 2010, rendered with RenderMan for Maya, composited in Shake.

A more detailed making of will be published on our Blog within the next days...

Thanks, well it's just the two of us here. But we have to add that the santa character and the sleigh was already existent as an asset, that we did for our christmas collection as mentioned above.

Pretty cool in only 10 days, I like the cartoonish style ;)
