Hey guys,

I have this photo of an object and I have the exact same object in Max. What's the easiest way to match the camera to the camera used in the photo?

I read about 'camera matching' but I have no clue how that works...

I accepted this job yesterday, thinking it wouldn't be that hard and I need to finish this by sundaynight... I hope you guys can help...

The easiest way to match a camera, is to use camera match, if you're working with a still image, animations require something more, like cam tracking, or tracing...
And well, there is a quite good walkthrough in the manual's tutorial section, under "Using Camera Match"...
The tutorial is about a picture, with some objects, and the exact copy of some objects in 3D world, and how to align them placing a camera in the correct position with Camera Match.

I doubt that I could write it down more precisely than discreet does, so I suggest you look up that topic in the tutorials section, and read all about camera matching.

The whole process is about defining points on your image, and defining the exact points on your 3D object, so the match algorythm can assume the position of the real camera, and create a virtual one. But all this was written down *really* step by step in the tutorials.

Good luck!
