Hi all first post in this section and I have a question about perspective, (as you could tell be the name of the thread :)

Anyway I was working on a perspective drawing for a car I’m playing with, but am surprised as to how far out I have to move the z axis vanishing point to make it look not fish eyed.

This is what the drawing looks like so far... (Not much but I need this part right or everything else will look bad.

At 100%

And these are the vanishing points (this image full size is like 2300 by 3600

I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong because this seems off... or if there is an easier way to fudge it.

Anyway hope to hear from you soon :)

I would say you should do whatever looks correct to you. If you are in doubt, maybe you could find a photograph with a similiar view point to the one you want and draw the perspective lines using the photo as a ref. On a side note, I think your lines look correct.
I don't do a whole lot of technical drawing like this, so someone else might have some better advise.
