View Full Version : [mental ray] simple GI question

hi,

i want to render my testscene with mental ray and with GI, i ve read the famous tutorial @ 3dluvr but my scene just dont want to render the GI . i tried everything.

but maybe i forget something so you can download my scene here http://www.corknet.nl/test.mb . the result i get is http://www.corknet.nl/tunnel_perspShape_tmp.jpg

hey man, i tried opening the scene in maya 4 and 4.5 both would not let it open. maybe re save and i wil try again. PM me if you want help still. peace

edit:if you are using maya 5, ave your scene as an .ma file and i can edit it to open in earlier versions

the scene was saved in maya 5 ,the problem is already solved but i was not online in the past days do the movement of my house .

the problem was that i rendered from the command line and then maya dont use mental rey, if i open the render viewer it works fine .
