View Full Version : bodypaint tutorial
nataz 08-22-2003, 06:34 PM Hi there,
do you know any good tutorial for bodypaint ? I've spent the whole day digging it and i always end up with, well, something awfull:surprised
For simple things such a bottle it's pretty easy but as soon as i try one of my "complex" meshes (i.e. a dog like creature) it's nearly impossible to create a simple uv map even though i don't have that much quads...
Got some cool links for me?
thanx

.... two comes with tutorial videos and a book, so you should have training material within reach?!

The Book and tutorials are not being sent yet with BP2. (Just recieved my copy of Cinema 8 Studio Edition, It has BP2 but the book is for BP1.) I think they will be shiping the book and tutorial later.

Ah - ok- still not out! Had a mail from Maxon today telling me iŽll recieve my copy tomorrow - did look forward to the tutorial CD.
Well, back on topic: If itŽs BP2 you are working with I guess youŽll have no luck searching for tutorials. Pupi did a good one for BP1 - youŽll find it at www.renderosity.com
Btw: why do you spell satan with Z?

Hi nataz,
Have you BP specific questions or is uvmapping in common
new to you. UVmapping of complex models is not easy.
Well.. I should say "good" UVmapping is not easy :)
You should make an internet search about that topic.
There are some good tutorials for UVmapping in general
around. You can use much of it also for BP.

Please to meet you; hope you guess my name... :buttrock:
Well, the "Z" is an old habit. Though i use it since more than 5 years, none ever noticed; i'm glad you did.
Bob :: thanx for the tip, i'm trying that right away.
All :: i've just received my C4D XL bundle 3 weeks ago and it had a special offer on BP1; so that's the one i got (as i don't manage it yet i think it is useless to try working on BP2 before i understand it... just a point of view, anyway), I received te whole docmentation but i have to say it is not that clear; especially with complex meshes (as Bobtronic mentioned).
Keep on pushing the quads boys! It's worth the pain.
