View Full Version : Resizing rollouts to match contents?

I'm currently working with a scene that has some objects with unavoidably long filenames. As a result, when I use a pickbutton on them, the width of the button far exceeds the default width of the rollout. I could change the default width on the rollout, but don't want it to be taking up a ridiculous amount of space unless necessary.

Ideally I'd like the width of my rollout to grow to match the widest pickbutton in the list, and shrink back down again if objects with shorter names are selected. I've realized that I can't even measure the width of pickbuttons or other rollout UI items (not sure why..).

Any help would be appreciated. I would ask that if this is going to require the use of dotNet controls (which I am guessing it will), please explain the process as if dealing with a total n00b. Thanks! :)
