View Full Version : Can Proportional Editing be reset?

After I click G to move the vertex I use the scrolling wheel to reduce the ratio of my "Proportional editing", but I no matter how many times I scroll I don't see it getting any smaller. Reason why I would find it very helpful to reset it now.

Thanks guys,

JDL

You can also use the page up / page down keys to also change the size of the influence if your mouse wheel does not change it.

Thank you Richard :)
I shall try that next time.

I think I was scrolling in the opposite direction  ...

It seems all in Blender was thought to work with 1Blender unit = 1cm
There are multiple problems/inconvenients with that. I hope that Blender 2.5 corrects them.

For example, I am using values like 0.001 and even that is very great in sculpting clay mode in 2.5. I would need something like 0.0001 or so but:
1) it is silly to have to use so much decimals
2) i can't find where to configure blender to show me four decimals instead three

If developpers would change the chip and program with the assumption of 1Blender unit = 1 meter I think not only me would be happy. A solution I am starting to consider is resize my models x100 or so and then when I finish modeling resize them to 1 Blender unit = 1 meter that is needed for physics and some renderers like luxrender.

I am not absolutely sure but I think Blender uses 1m in physics and except that it is unitless, although it is good to model with assumption that 1 unit is 1 meter.
Sorry for offtopic.
