Hey all.
I seem to have a problem with using the background reference image.
I'm using 3 different images for the top, left and front viewports and I wish to place my box so it'll fir the three of them. For that I have placed the box in the top viewport according to the reference and in the other two viewports I unlock the zoom/pan so I can pan the background instead of moving the box. The thing is that when I relock the viewport, the backgroud image seem to jump to a different place.
Do you have any idea what shuold I do to fit a box to the 3 backgrounds?

I've had similar problems. You'd be better off mapping your bitmaps onto three planes rather than using background images. May take a little getting used to, but it the long run it'll save you a lot of hair pulling...

Yep.
Martin's idea is better when you work with the three axis.
Remember to adapt correctly the images to the planes, so it matches height and width, so the images keep proportional.

Thanks for a very nice idea!!

So do I just map my images onto 3 planes and size them as I need?
I notice that the image is distorted as I rotate in a 3D viewport. Is there anything I can do to prevent that?

Blur has a script to do this. Check scriptspot.com
