View Full Version : Problem With Panoramic Image
Kaiser_Sose 08-22-2003, 11:23 AM When I try to apply a full 360 degree panoramic image to a sphere for a background sky, I get a message that says the image is to big ... is there a file size limit or do I not have enough memory
Maybe I am not setting it up correctly, does any have an example scene or can show how to set something like this up with one of those marlin panoramic images

How much memory do you have?
Those free textures are working here with 2gb on my dual Zeon machine and 800mhz,768MB on my old Athlon.
You might have too many processes running in the background.

Iam getting the same error on my machine saying the files are too big, the images are between 10-30Mb most of them and around 9000 pixels wide.My machine is a dual 1Ghz P3 with 1Gb SDRAM, I converted the image to a jpeg and resized it to a third of the original size, but whats the point of buying high res images if you need to do that to get the friggin' things to load!
