View Full Version : Character: Humanoid Alien Bust
ejackson1138 08-22-2003, 06:48 AM Hey there, this is my first posting. This is an old alien head I broke out to work on some texturing techniques. This is my first real bump map usage so forgive any problems. How do the rest of you post such large images? Are you restricted to 20000 bytes?

20KB is the limit for uploading an image to be hosted by the CGTalk servers. If you want to use larger images you need to have them hosted elsewhere, and link to them.
Model is looking good. :)

Here's another sans textures.

I know the bump map is rough around the eye but this stuff is tricky. Any suggestions?
OOh I have a good question. When I'm baking textures, the automatic skinner fragments my baked texture UV map. How do I get it to bake it and then keep it in the shape of my UV map I painstakingly layed out previously?

Here's a larger rez image with a little bit of augmentation to the bump map and a half-assed cel shade outline effect.
