d if I access individual particle ,how can I do?
what is different with particleId and pt[] attribute??
is that the same?

if could have a simple example ,that would be better

You should look up the setParticleAttr mel command. That should answer a lot of your questions. :)

Your post is a bit confusing but let's say that you need to read each particles ID ?
Go to particleShape's attribute editor...Scrool to render attributes section and choose "numeric" as particle render type...hit the "current render type" button and by default particleID will be written in attribute name field...now you can see each particles ID in your viewports...you can also type any attribute name to show it's numeric values...(goalU,goalV,velocity...etc)
Maya automaticly adds ID number to each new born particle and thet number can never be shared among two particles...
I don't know if this was an answer to your question but it was a try...

now I give a example below:
setParticleAttr -at velocity particleShape1.pt[0:7] particleShape1.pt[11];
What I mean is ? in the pt[?] is the same as particleId ???

is right?
