View Full Version : What is correct method for creating "Light Fog" with maya and mental ray?

Hello.
I want to create a realistic and advanced "Light Fog" with maya and mental ray, but I dont know correct method for it.
please guide me.

here is a good tutorial on volumetric lighting with mental ray, floze wrote it, he is awesome.

one thing he doesn't mention in the tutorial is that the cube you build to contain the volume should be as small as possible while still filling the volume so it renders more efficiently. also, if i remember correctly, your camera should be inside the volume as well.
