I don't know anything about customizing maya almost and I would like to know how I could add a button in the custom tool tab simply doing the opening of Transfer maps window, so I don't have to change the whole menu to Rendering section all the time. Another for Batch bake (metal ray) would be good too.

Go to your cutom tab shelf. Hold down the Ctrl+SHift and open Trasnfer Maps window. This adds a shelf button to custom tab. The you should save shelf.
